My focus on this film was a unique sequence, both violent and hauntingly visual, in which a fractal bioweapon attacked the home planet of the series’ mysterious Engineers. Ridley Scott asked Alessandro Bavari to draft concept imagery as a starting place. Through exploration we found a visual language and decided fully CG portions would best realise the digital stunt work and the horror of the bioweapon’s effect.
